The idea

Finding a room in a shared flat in Slovakia usually means scrolling Facebook groups and paying agency fees. Roomela puts rooms in one place, with real prices, photos and a map, free for both sides.

What I built

A complete platform, not a landing page. People search, save rooms and message landlords. Landlords post a listing in a few minutes and manage it from their dashboard. Every new listing passes an automatic check and a review queue before it goes live, and anyone can report one.

Try it

The live version is a demo with fictional listings. Everything works, and nothing you do leaves your browser.

What I did

01Websites

The whole platform

I designed and built Roomela end to end: search, listings, accounts, messaging and the tools to keep it safe.

Search across every Slovak town with over 20 filters and a map
Room pages with photos, a cost breakdown and an approximate location that keeps the address private
Messaging between tenants and landlords, with read receipts
Posting a listing in a few minutes, with an AI helper for the text
Moderation: an automatic first check, a review queue and reports from users
Slovak, English, Russian, Ukrainian and German

A closer look

Roomela search page with listings and a map of Bratislava — Search with filters and a live map

Roomela room page with a photo gallery and price card — Photos, price and every monthly cost up front

Roomela room description and costs — The full description, translated, with the original one click away

Roomela About this demo page — What the demo is and how to try it

Where it stands

Roomela runs as a demo: the rooms, people and messages are made up, so you can try every part of it. Sign in as a tenant, landlord or moderator with one click.
